Join us for a one-night event featuring Bay Area artist and Zombie expert George Pfau co-presented by Portland 'Pataphysical Society, a domestic alternative arts space, and c3:initiative. Pfau is a member of the artist collective ERNEST that is currently in residence at c3.

Pfau's work deals with the notion of the human body as a permeable screen, in-flux with its surroundings. Stemming from his writing, drawing, and academic research, he locates these idea within the historical and pop-cultural framework of “zombie.” He approaches "zombie" as an entry point into conversations about legibility, inbetweenness, contradiction, binaries, identity, and death.

In addition to showing a selection of new works, Pfau will present a short (10-12 minute) slide show lecture: “Zombies, identified” which has been shown in art galleries across the country. Upside: cocktails will be served. Downside: Guests should arrive on time in order to get seats for the performance.
